Four years ago, the National Research Center for College & University Admissions™ and the National Alliance of Black School Educators created the Pipeline for African American Teachers. Today, nearly 300,000 African-American high school students have declared an interest in teaching.
NRCCUA is now engaging Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Schools of Education across the nation to reach out to these students and offer their support by providing information about enrolling at their institution and encouragement to pursue a career in the field of education.
NABSE is the nation's premiere non-profit organization devoted to furthering academic success for the nation's children, particularly those of African descent. For several years, the two organizations have worked to develop and build the Pipeline program.
"The Pipeline has been an amazing success, and we are very proud to be assisting these promising students as they pursue their dream of teaching," said Ryan Munce, Vice President of NRCCUA.
