About the Chief Executive Officer
As the CEO of NRCCUA, Patrick Vogt is responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy for the company. He leads the effort to integrate new design, product and technology platforms to better support students and universities to make more intelligent decisions that will improve overall graduation success rates.
Prior to NRCCUA, Patrick served as chief executive officer for both public and private digital media technology companies, and has held senior executive positions at some of the most prestigious brands in the world, including The Weather Channel, Sony, HP and Dell. Patrick was most recently CEO of HealthiNation, an Emmy Award winning health and wellness digital video company. Prior to HealthiNation, he was President of The Weather Channel’s (TWC) International Division where he led all business outside of the U.S. and across all product categories including digital, professional and TV.
Patrick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the State University of New York, and holds an MBA from the Hagen School of Business, Iona College.
About the Chairman of the Board
Don Munce, Chairman of the Board of the National Research Center for College & University Admissions™ (NRCCUA®), is one of the visionaries in higher education enrollment management. During his 28 year tenure as president, NRCCUA grew rapidly to become a significant force in the student recruitment and admissions research arena. Membership among colleges and universities grew from 200 to nearly 1,500 members under his leadership. His passion for the post-secondary aspirations of young people has affected students and universities across America. NRCCUA's free college planning program, My College Options®, is one of the country's most successful tools providing access to higher education for students of all social and economic backgrounds. Don earned a Master of Science degree in adolescent development while attending Kansas State University.
About the President
Brent Ramdin brings over 12 years of higher education industry experience, and was most recently the President of dialogEDU, an eLearning company focused on healthcare education. Brent’s passion for NRCCUA and its mission comes from his first tenure with the organization as its Chief Product and Strategy Officer from 2012 to 2013. During his nine years at Campus Management Corporation, as the Vice President of Product Management, Brent was instrumental in the evolution of industry leading student information systems, customer relationship management solutions, portals and other technologies. He continues to be an advisor to education companies focused on emerging technologies. Brent’s passion for finding efficiencies and improving student and staff experiences will be key to the continued evolution of NRCCUA. He earned his MBA and BS in Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University.
About the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Client Officer
Dennis Syracuse joined the NRCCUA team in 2016. He is a results oriented senior level executive with a multi-channel background including B2C, B2B digital marketing, global retail and e-commerce and marketing technology solutions. His passionate leadership, coupled with his experience in developing customer service programs through team building and talent development, steers an organization to develop effective service, operations, and P&L management. He has a history of developing results driven, proven high performing cultures especially in new concept and scaling businesses. He brings a broad marketing experience in strategy development and senior level decision making. Dennis is a vital component to the success of NRCCUA and the new data platform, Data Lab™.
Dennis came to us from Madison Logic, the global leader in Account Based Marketing, where he was the Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Madison Logic, Dennis was at Datran Media as the Chief Marketing Officer and President, Media Services and Sony before that as the Senior Vice President/GM Direct Retail including online and physical operations.
Dennis received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Buffalo and his BA in Economics from State University of New York College at Buffalo.
About the Chief Marketing Officer
Todd Boullion is a well-rounded leader and innovator with proven performance in many distinct business disciplines: marketing, operations, sales, communications, finance, technology, analytics. He has over 20 years’ experience in the high-tech industry and in the education arena at companies such as Dell, PulsePoint and PostUp. Todd has created and executed extensive B2B business and marketing plans to launch products, expand market share, enter new regions, and deliver record financial performance. Prior to joining NRCCUA, he managed the multi-million dollar P&L for SaaS company--UnsubCentral. At NRCCUA, Todd is responsible for branding, product marketing, research, PR, and marketing communications.
Todd graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University and currently sits on the TCU Neely Business School Alumni Executive Board. Outside of work, Todd serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for Hand to Hold non-profit.
About the Chief Research Officer
Richard Garrett is Chief Research Officer at Eduventures, spearheading the company’s new research direction. Richard has 20 years of experience in higher education research, consulting and policy. He combines his work at Eduventures with leading the Observatory on Borderless Higher Education, a think tank focused on global developments in online learning, internationalization and commercial activity and partnerships. The Observatory is part of i-graduate, a UK higher education research and consulting firm. Prior to Eduventures, Richard was North America Director for i-graduate, working with clients of the International Student Barometer, the world’s largest survey of the international student experience. From 2005-2013, Richard led Eduventures' online higher education practice. Richard has also worked as a researcher in the School of Education at the University of Surrey in the UK and as a policy analyst at the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. He has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cambridge.
About the Chief Finance Officer
Kristin Flor joined NRCCUA in March 2017 and is responsible for all finance, accounting, and legal functions. She is a sound business partner with broad experience at both public companies and venture-backed startups. Prior to joining NRCCUA, Kristin led the hyper growth of technology companies through organic growth, global expansion, and M&A activity. As a key part of executive management teams, Kristin has been responsible for the companies' corporate finance functions, and has raised several rounds of capital and secured various debt financing arrangements at Integral Ad Science and PulsePoint, both digital marketing technology companies. She also held positions at Thomson Media, a former subsidiary of the Thomson Corporation, and she began her career in Boston at Arthur Andersen LLP where she served start-up and growth clients in the software and bio-tech industries. Kristin holds a BS in Accounting and a minor in Finance from Providence College, and earned her CPA in 2000. She is involved in mentoring programs designed for women seeking leadership positions.
About the Chief Technology Officer
Earl Yoder joined NRCCUA in 1994 and currently serves on the Executive Team as the Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for the technology that delivers our programs and services to our members. He completed his BSBA in Computer Science from Indiana University in 1992.
About the Controller
Tom Holcomb, CPA, Controller, joined NRCCUA in 1999 after 12 years with the public accounting firm of Roberts, McKenzie, Mangan & Cummings in Springfield, MO. He started there as an intern and was steadily promoted, achieving the position of Audit Manager. He used his expertise to assist a wide variety of businesses, non-profit organizations, and school districts. He served as NRCCUA’s Chief Financial Officer for 18 years, and as Controller, he continues to be responsible for many financial accounting processes. Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from Drury University with majors in accounting, business administration, and economics. He earned his Master in Business Administration from Drury University in 1997. He is also a member and former chairman of the Professional Ethics Committee of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
About the Vice President, Sales
Debbie Thompson-Widmer brings a unique combination of skills and experiences to NRCCUA. Currently serving as the Vice President, Sales, she provides our leadership team and members with a wealth of knowledge from over seven years as an Associate Dean of Admissions. She also has nearly 20 years of experience working in marketing and communications where she was an outstanding achiever. Most currently, Debbie was a Principal of an engineering company where she led sales, marketing, research and project management. Debbie has maintained a passion for education and has served as a part-time substitute teacher for the Bartlett Schools for over five years. This passion can be seen in her efforts within NRCCUA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with a minor in Psychology from Ripon College.
About the Vice President, Enrollment Services
Clint Chapman joined NRCCUA in 2014 and brought with him more than 14 years of higher education enrollment management experience. Clint served at William Jewell College as Dean of Admission before joining NRCCUA. Prior to that, he held multiple positions in the University of Missouri’s Division of Enrollment Management, ranging from Admission Representative to Associate Director. Additionally, he has worked with many campuses in the United States and Canada as an enrollment management technology consultant specializing in communication management. Clint has spent his career helping students connect with their best fit colleges by integrating proven enrollment strategies with new technologies and communication channels. He earned his BA in Psychology and his MA in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in Higher Education from the University of Missouri.
About the Vice President of Mobile and SaaS Engineering
Ron Cox is responsible for leading all aspects of NRCCUA's product engineering, bringing over 25 years of experience performing in a variety of roles in many different industries. He brings to the NRCCUA team a rare mix of technical, managerial, creative, and entrepreneurial skills and experiences. His technical expertise includes machine learning, IoT, big data, mobile, desktop, and distributed systems. Prior to joining NRCCUA, Ron worked in a number of industries, including mobile payments, green energy, weather data, finance, insurance, and consulting.
Ron received his M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, and a B.AS. in Electronics Management from Troy University.
About the Vice President of Product Management
Scott Paprocki joined NRCCUA in 2016 bringing with him a vast knowledge of Product Management. He has 15+ years of SaaS and/or Data as a Service technology experience in fast moving and high growth environments. He is the author of patent filing for data aggregation and modeling. Scott came to us from Experian where he led a global product management team.
Scott’s track record for building teams and early growth stage products will allow NRCCUA to help colleges and universities continue to innovate and become more data-driven and strategic in their enrollment management. Scott is a driving force behind NRCCUA’s data platform, Data Lab™.
Scott earned his BBA from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Management Information Systems.
About the Vice President of Human Resources
Tammy Deal was appointed Vice President of Human Resources for NRCCUA in September 2016, and is responsible for leading and developing people strategies and programs. Tammy has over 20 years of leadership experience with proven accomplishments in strategic management, mergers and acquisitions, employee engagement, leading organizational change, workforce planning, talent management, compensation and benefit design, and employee relations, across diverse industries undergoing acquisition, turnaround, rapid growth and transitional business cycles.
Most recently, Tammy was the Vice President, Human Resources for Compass Learning, a leading provider of learning software solutions for the K-12 market, where she provided strategic leadership to the executive team and was instrumental in designing, implementing and leading strategic HR programs to transform the culture into a high performing organization. Tammy also led the human resources function for Dachis Group, LatinWorks Marketing, Velocity Credit Union, McCoy Corporation and SVISystems.
She graduated Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Communications in Human Relations and is certified as a Strategic Human Resource Business Partner.
About the Vice President, Research
Cara A. Quackenbush is the Vice President of Research for Eduventures. Cara is responsible for guiding the depth and breadth of the company’s research coverage and rigorous research methodologies and standards. Prior to joining Eduventures, Cara was an advancement professional with more than a decade of fundraising, management, marketing, and accounting experience at institutions of higher education. Cara’s experience spans annual giving, major giving, volunteer management, alumni engagement, parent fundraising, and planned giving. She has also conducted research on management practices and strategies in higher education, including higher education accounting practices, presidential leadership techniques, and legal policies affecting planned giving. Cara is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and events, including CASE, and her work has been published in CASE Currents. Cara was the Associate Director of Gift Planning at Boston College where she helped launch the university’s $1.5 billion capital campaign as well as its first-ever legacy gift campaign. Cara also worked in both the annual fund and the office of planned giving at her alma mater, Santa Clara University, where she earned her B.A. in journalism. Cara holds an MBA and an MS in accounting from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
About the Vice President, Marketing
Jefferey Fix joined NRCCUA in 2007, with over 20 years of experience in direct marketing and educational programs. Mr. Fix has held various senior marketing and management positions at Educational Communications Inc., USAA and The Reader's Digest Association. Jefferey currently holds the title of Vice President, Marketing where he is responsible for the strategy and general management of in-school and direct to student marketing programs. He received his BS in Business Administration from the State University College at Fredonia, NY.
About the Vice President, Operations
Sarah Salyer currently serves on the Executive Team as the Vice President of Operations after joining NRCCUA in 2004 as a project manager. Sarah is responsible for managing the operational execution of company initiatives and enhancing efficiencies of cross-functional teams. Prior to joining NRCCUA, Sarah worked for 6 years in production and account management in the advertising and marketing industry. Sarah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Advertising from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
About the Vice President, Content & Strategy
Ryan Munce joined the Executive Team in 2006 as Assistant Vice President, Educational Research. He is responsible for managing external research partnerships with educational, professional, governmental and community organizations. Prior to joining NRCCUA, Ryan was an Enrollment Services Coordinator at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Ryan received his Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Communications from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and is earning his Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
